Mr. Devonshire-Ellis is the Founder and Senior Partner of Dezan Shira & Associates, now China’s largest independent business advisors and tax consultants, advising international businesses on establishing and operating their subsidiary operations in China. The practice now has six China offices and some 1,600 international clients, including an Indian portfolio with Bank of India, QAI Group, Tata and Mittal Steel amongst others. His development responsibilities within the firm now see him concentrating on developing the India market for the firm with offices scheduled to open in India in the second half of 2007. He is also the founder and publisher of the “China Briefing” publishing house with it’s well received magazines and books concerning matters of China business law and tax. “India Briefing” is set to open in May 2007. Chris is based between Beijing & Delhi and spends his free time in Ulaan Baatar.
