Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff has his Asian counterparts. Over the last few years, politicians and industrial big wigs from Japan to Pakistan have embezzled billions of dollars, cheated the public and shored up enough wealth to live off their prison terms well.

While Asia has boomed in the last few years many intelligent entrepreneurs have made a killing in businesses ranging from milk powder to pharmaceuticals to real estate.  Many have been caught, while others have been found innocent.
