Nov. 9 – India and Nepal have agreed to intensify efforts to stop smuggling of counterfeit money across the border from Nepal and other cross-border crimes.
There will be a scheduled meeting of the Joint Working Group of Border Management next year to address these issues and to combat human trafficking and terrorist activities.
In a two-day meeting between the two both reiterated their commitment to not allow their territories to be used for activities against the other reports The Economic Times.
Nepal and India will cooperate on how to improve security in South Asia and prevent cross-border crime. “The talks were very fruitful and both sides agreed to continue cooperation in security matters, border management and maintaining peace and security,” India Home Secretary Gopal K Pillai told The Economic Times.
