China, Mongolia Brands Win Top Beverage Awards


www.vodka24.netJan. 12 – Mongolian and Chinese beverage brands bagged top awards at the recently concluded 2009-2010 World’s Largest Beverage Competition.

Mongolian beer “Fusion” won the gold medal while another Mongolian beer brand “Borgio” won silver and South Korean “Pang Noi” was awarded bronze. The overall top prize for beer category went U.S.-made Son of a Peach Wheat Ale winning the platinum award.

Mongolian brand “Soyombo” won gold for the vodka category. Chinese brand “L’Ice” was awarded the platinum prize for water. Under the tea category, China won gold for “Organic Panda Orange” behind England’s “Stress Test Earl Grey Blend” winning platinum.

India was also represented in the competition winning bronze for “McDowell’s Premium Extra Dry” under the gin category.  The country also bagged the silver for dark rum for “McDowell’s Celebration Mature XXX Rum” and silver and bronze under the whisky category for the brands “Bagpiper Deluxe Whisky” and “DSP Black Deluxe Whisky.”

Other winners of the competition included beverage brands from Argentina, Australia, Belize, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, France, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Korea, Laos, Latvia, Martinique, Mexico, Mongolia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Panama, Polynesia, Puerto Rico, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, and Sweden.
