Feb. 17 – Al Jazeera has run a brief, yet interesting report comparing China and India including the economic relations between the two. Featuring a somewhat hirsute Chris Devonshire-Ellis (he says he’d just returned from a -30 degree winter trekking expedition in the Himalayas), the report gives a snapshot of the differences and similarities between the two countries. As we pointed out in earlier articles on this web site, the proximity of China and India to one another is generating opportunities both for China-based businesses in India, and for India-based businesses in China. This short clip succinctly explains why.

I’ve heard the comparisons between Chris and Richard Branson before, but I never imagined Karl Marx! Some nice comments – and an impressive beard!
Thanks Paul, I was trekking in Ladakh & Mustang. Very cold. For more chilly adventure stuff, please see “Serious Chill” about exploring Mongolia in the winter at http://www.mongoliaexpat.com. While other people head for the sun during winter I heard for the northern mountains and deserts, lands of ice and snow. Something to do with ancestral Viking blood probably. It makes a welcome change from being China’s Richard Branson though, you’re right there! Cheers – Chris
